02) Bure Valley Railway.

A line that I have been meaning to visit for some time in the 15 inch gauge Bure Valley Railway which runs between Aylsham and Wroxham in Norfolk.

I finally made it in August, 2007 - and I'm jolly glad that I did. I can't understand why I haven't been there before, but I shall most certainly be going there again!

2007/08/09.01  Dating back to 1954, this 4-wheel industrial diesel was purchased by the Friends of the Bure Valley Railway in 1993 and rebuilt with a Peugeot diesel engine and hydraulic drive.  It acts as the Aylsham yard pilot and works Permanent Way trains.  Wroxham, 9th August, 2007.
